Google Disallow term Netbook


Perhaps not many of us remember the tiny computer branded Psion? This tiny computer has failed in the market. However, Psion said years ago that the term netbook are the property so that they can not use the generic.

In 'seizing the term', the Psion was winning. At least on Google. Because, first sunday per month in February, Google prohibits the use of the term netbook network ads.

It is reported, Google has conducted investigations of the trademark claim netbook submitted by Psion. The result, Google is officially respect the fact that the "netbook" is a trademark that is protected by law. So the term that is ditabukan use in the ads that appear on Google.

Nah loh, so tiny that the computer should do what we call? Mini-notebook? Sub-note? But actually, it is also a computer vendor did not take the overt product mungilnya computer as a netbook. This term is only dipopulerkan by Intel. Dell, for example, never refers Inspiron Mini 9 as its netbook. HP calls its products as the mini-note. Meanwhile, more like the Asus Eee PC memopulerkan term, and only occasionally called as netbook.
